Part of his new collection, ‘The Social Network’, limited edition ‘Make a Girl Laugh’ is unmistakably Craig Alan. The US artist, known for his clever take on modern icon portraiture, creates images of well-loved celebrities by cleverly and meticulously placing hundreds of tiny, hand-painted figures to form a familiar face. Here he depicts Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe happy and smiling as she throws her head back in laughter.
Each Limited Edition is set in a black frame.
About Craig Alan
Craig Alan, the visionary artist behind captivating contemporary portraits composed of meticulously placed tiny figures, revolutionizes the art world with his intricate creations. Born in 1971 in California, Alan's journey from childhood sketches to Fine Arts and Graphic Design studies at the University of Mobile, Alabama, laid the foundation for his signature style. Each of Alan's pieces, painstakingly crafted over weeks, features a myriad of tiny individuals, forming stunning portraits of icons and everyday people alike.
