Nick MackmanMackman was born in 1972 in Beverley, Yorkshire. She first took a foundation course in Art and Design at York College of Art and Technology before attending the Carmarthenshire College of Technology and Art where she took a HND in ceramics and this is where she found her true passion, moving her focus from the canvas to clay. She is known for her ceramic and bronze sculptures of animals, a subject she wishes to focus on in the attempt to bring the issue of endangerment and extinction into the light. At the heart of her sculptures, she aims to give each animal their own personality and with the extraordinary detail she places into her sculptures, she therefore creates the vivid realism of each animal.
In celebration of Nick Mackman’s recent triumph at the ‘David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year’, London Row International Fine Art is honoured to be promoting her stunning collections and original works at the gallery.
